罗聘《竹石图》
立轴 设色纸本 95×42.5 cm
题 识:唐王右丞画竹用双钩法,江南蜀主李氏继其馀风作金错刀。至宋石室先生东坡居士乃变为泼墨,流派于元若吴兴赵魏公夫妇。蓟丘李衎天、台柯九思惟能承习宋贤,而双钩法绝响矣。李衎同时有沛郡张逊,颇擅勾勒,行笔独称一时,然亦不过磨麝煤为之。子因雨窗无事,追橅右丞遗法写此直幅,复题一诗。诗曰:画竹有声风满堂,法从勾勒岂寻常。鹦哥毛细休轻染,此是仙都白凤凰。乾隆三十四年岁在己丑夏六月廿一日,罗聘。

罗聘虽为扬州画派之后劲,然绘画能力极强,山水、花鸟、走兽、兰竹、佛像及人物写真皆擅胜长,是清中期画坛之佼佼者。此图写双钩竹,笔笔劲挺,拙中寓巧。旁立一石,则用侧笔疾扫,然后信手点苔,更用秃笔作楷书长题,遂使画面不至单调。文人写意,以诗文书法充实画面,展述画题,文采与笔墨相映发,造形之外,又增加无穷意趣。读画而不读题跋,非真知画者。
