世人谈及成化瓷，必对成化斗彩交口称赞。成化斗彩是以釉下青花和釉上多种彩色结合相成的新工艺、新品位，而 使成化官窑瓷器被后人列为诸窑之首。而作为“成窑上品”的斗彩更是声誉极重。成化斗彩极其名贵，最主要是贵在彩饰工艺上创新。用“精工细作”概括成化斗彩的品质完全恰当。成化斗彩在胎釉、色彩、造型、方面有其独特的韵味。胎质洁白细腻，薄轻透体，小杯胎体之薄几同蝉翼，可映见手指。白釉柔和莹润，表里如一。本品微侈口，直颈，平底，圆腹似球，故名天球瓶。通体施釉平滑，青花绘三层纹饰，中间以卷草纹、连续钱纹分隔开来，自上而下分别为莲瓣纹、缠枝花卉纹、双凤牡丹图案，层次分明。构图虽繁，但密而不乱，主宾分明，腹部所绘“凤穿牡丹”作为主题纹饰也得到突出，所绘凤鸟体态舒展，姿态优美，一凤引颈飞翔，一凤回首相望，取凤求凰之意，整体画风飘逸，运笔流畅，极为典雅，寓意吉祥。古代传说，凤为鸟中之王；牡丹为花中之王，寓意富贵。丹、凤结合，象征着美好、光明和幸福。

张大千先生在中国画坛中久负盛名，其仕女画“最为画道人赞赏，谓能大胆别创新意”。此幅作品清丽雅逸，变为行笔敦厚、衣纹匀细、服饰色彩艳丽脱俗，雍容华贵，所画仕女面相端庄，设色淡雅，画面中亭亭玉立的执扇仕女，用笔工致细腻，连衣裙上的花纹都一丝不苟地描画出来，透过纨扇中间透明的纱质部分，还可隐约看到后面的纹饰。设色典雅大气，在婉约中透出几分大气。仕女的髪髻表现尤其精彩，张大千先生曾就如何画须髪有过很明确的阐述：画人物须髪，画得不好的话，就像是一团水泡了的黑棉花，勉强粘在头上。在此画中，画家正是采用了唐代人的方法，用浓墨细笔，依着面形方位，疏疏落落略撇十几笔，然后再用淡墨渲染二三遍，显得柔和而润泽，有根根见肉的意思，自然清秀可爱。
