还受溥心畬、张大千、溥松窗、齐白石等

五十年代画艺已到成熟阶段

他的山水画主要也是取法的南方画派一路画法,尤其是他的老师吴镜汀就是从王翚入手,涉猎宋元明清诸家,山水画作多细笔设色,清新雅致。启功在他二位文人画家老师的教导下不仅提高画艺,在文史、书法、诗词、鉴定等各方面受益良多。他的山水画传统功夫深厚,北人南画,在画境文心的南宗山水画风貌中又透露出一股刚健清新之气。

拟古仿古是启功先生绘画创作的一个重要内容。在启功存世的山水画中有许多这类作品,如“拟元人笔意”,“拟元人小景”,“拟黄鹤山樵笔意”,“仿石涛”,“仿蓝瑛”,“元白法古山水册”等等。
